1999 Scholarship Recipient
I currently live in wonderful San Francisco, California where I work for the San Francisco LGBT Community Center in the Development Department writing grants and assisting the Center's fundraising efforts. After receiving my scholarship from GSAFE I spent a year in Australia studying and apprenticing as a winemaker. In 2000 I returned to the US and enrolled in the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where I majored in English. After graduating in '04, I worked in publishing as an editorial assistant, eventually leaving the Midwest for the sunnier climes of California. My experiences in high school fueled my passion for social justice work which has led to my current position working for the LGBT community.
