GSA for Safe Schools was one of the anti-bullying associations, located in Madison, Wisconsin and it has dedicated all its resources to helping children who had been victims of bullying in school and those who bullied others. They believed that education can change the way in which people perceive the others as being difference and they tried to teach tolerance. According to the, tolerance is the key to success in a society which is more and more diverse.
More and more individuals get involved in activities that target teaching individuals in schools that bullying and harassment will not help them make a point, no matter what convictions they have. These associations are most commonly working through the effort that their staffs put into their goals and aims. They are especially interested in teaching young individuals what tolerance means and how one can live in harmony with other individuals, no matter their background. The actions of anti-bullying associations are targeted at making young people understand that everyone has the right to be different, and that tolerance can make the world a better place. In the end, even the bullies have a secret that they could be bullied for and as a result this should not happen in schools at all because difference is what makes people special.
Most of the individuals getting involved in anti-bullying and anti-harassment in schools associations have some degree of experience in working with victims of bullying. They are able to see the other side of the story and they often try to help the bullied through various ways such as counseling but also through trying to prevent these actions in the first place by educating those who are prone to bully.
The staffs of the anti-bullying associations make sure that the goals of their organization are reached and they put all their efforts into making the world a better place.
